Hail to McQueen
Come spring, the fashion savvy will have a chance to celebrate
the genius of the late Alexander McQueen at an exhibition
hosted by The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum
of Art in New York City, May 4 through July 31. Alexander
McQueen: Savage Beauty will document
the designer’s work over two decades—
from his Central Saint Martins College of
Art and Design postgraduate collection in
‘ 92 to his final runway presentation, shown
posthumously last March. A book, Alexander
McQueen: Savage Beauty (Yale University
Press, 2011), written by Andrew Bolton with
Harold Koda, will accompany the exhibition.
